The statue stands at the outer entrance to the castle, so it is free to see. It is nicely carved and worth a look if you are visiting the castle.
The statue is viewable by people who use a wheelchair. It is behind fencing, so it is not accessible for tactile purposes.
Nice wide open space, perfect for picnics and dog walking. Free parking, a well made path to follow/ guide you to the statue. Read the information boards and bring your imagination, worth a look, piece of Scottish history.
We visited the statue during August 2020 so the building was closed due to covid. However we were still allowed to view the outside features which was the main monument / statue.
The flag looked amazing due to the strong winds.
Well worth a look to find out more about how Robert The Bruce beat the English and to help Scotland become independent.
