A detailed sculpture of a Scottish Highlander standing ready with a rifle during the Boer war , Stirling Castle was the HQ of the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders who are depicted in the uniform and it was unveiled in 1907

The statue sits on the esplanade of Stirling Castle, to your left when facing the castle. There is a plaque on it as well as the regimental museum inside the castle.
